Crayola Brighten
UPDATE: One of 20 student pieces to win a gold national Addy (out of 6,000). It also won "Best of Show" at the 2014 Fourth District Addys.

The 2012-2013 “Future Lions Challenge” asked participants to “connect an audience of your choosing to a product or service from a global brand in a way that wasn’t possible five years ago.” I chose the Crayola Crayon brand and, with my co-creative partner Cristina Hernandez, came up with Crayola Brighten: an app intended specifically for hospitalized children with long-term treatment plans.

I wrote the script, directed the voice-over, did the sound editing, and drew the imagery until my hand got tired.

This 2-minute video has over 500 hand-drawn frames.

It was created in a week and a half.
